HALLELUEA!!!

Best music to a progressive's ears in 30 years: The 2 best news reports since the end of the Vietnam War!!! Both within the same week (2005 June 05-12)!!

1 - The G8 cancelled the debts of the 18 most poor nations. In the next 12 months, 20 more countries may yet qualify for this Jubilee to have their debts cancelled by the World Bank & the International Monetary Fund.

2 - The fact that the right are now TALKING with the left about "universal healthcare" (publicly-funded healthcare) is a MAJOR sea change!! It's, now, an issue that even Newt Gingrich can agree w/ future President Hillary.

2005 Feb 19 - I'm Sparticus.

2005 Feb 15 - Iraq authority 'mismanaged $9bn' - A Republican Proletariat - The AntiCapitalist Alliance.

2005 Feb 12 - What's there not to love about a blog? How can a progressive webpage go without dialogue and exchange?

* Toss your questions my way. I may even try to answer them with sincerity.

* We may have a candidate who's seriously considering to run as an independent for Governor of New Mexico in 2006: ELI CHAVEZ. He put his hat in the ring for the Democratic primary for Congress from Albuquerque in 2004, just to have New Mexico's Democratic machine axe his collected signatures. Obviously Chavez wasn't the annoited candidate last year.

Eli is clearly onboard with the concept: that the 2 major parties care less about voter registration in America being at only 55% and in New Mexico at 45%. Chavez realizes that the best way to wake up New Mexico's 55% pluralty of non-voters is to run as an independent candidate. Eli has been stumping that "65% of the voters don't identify with EITHER major party."

Chavez retired as a Drug Enforcement Agency field agent. He was shot up in a few gun battles.

Prior to his stint with the DEA, Eli was a Lt Colonel in the Army. He had 3,000 Cambodians under him during President Richard Nixon's illegal war in Cambodia. Chavez knows that Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry was correct when Kerry stated that some American troops DID commit atrocities in southeast asia.
