2008 Election Review: Did We Get Change We Can Believe In?

Eloquence over bumbling. Vision over greed. Future over past. Eros over thanatos. Making friends rather than enemies. Being a team player on the global stage, rather than being a maverick with a loose cannon.

The options were clear in the General Election of November 2008.

I thought Americans had learned their lesson about Republicans after "Tricky Dick" Richard Nixon's Watergate break-in and his trying to stick Ted Kennedy with the George Wallace assassination attempt. Apparently, the American voter has a short memory.

The Shrub, Jr. administration lied to the American people 935 times leading up to the invasion of Iraq. Not ONE of the 9/11 pieces of shit was from Iraq. Secretary of State, General Colin Powell, quit when he realized that Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney were lying to him. Civil rights and the Constitution ARE America. Those who erased habeus corpus after 9/11 are pretend patriots, at best.

Pure immoral greed, such as at AIG, says fuck regulations - I'm going to screw everyone else and flush the economy down the toilet, but I'll safely esconce my booty away from the regulators. After they trashed the economy, it's ludacris that Republicans expect anyone taking them seriously regarding course correction for the economy.

Real Christians are against the death penalty and for universal healthcare. See what the policies are in every country in the world with a cross on their flag. Those quibbling over expenses regarding single-payer healthcare (fuck health insurance) are deliberately not addressing the core issue: either you're a sociopath or you are not.

With medical costs rising three times faster than wages, medical costs have to be contained immediately. America is the richest country in the world, but the dozen countries with better longevity and higher birth rates all have socialized medicine at half our costs.

Not caring that at least 67% of those filing for bancruptcy is due to medical expenses, the Republicans passed a harsher bancruptcy bill which was completely written by the banking industry. Who are Republican politicians working for?

There's trying and there's results. If single-payer healthcare goes down in flames, as I expect it will, that's not on Barack Obama. That will be on the sociopathic worshippers of Satan, from both political parties, who vote against that bill. Obama can't do all the heavy lifting - he needs more Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clintons and Al Frankens on his team.

Neglection 2008

Let me know if you hear anything worth repeating by any of the candidates in New Mexico.

Only 45% of the adults in New Mexico are registered to vote. 55% of the adults in New Mexico know that the two-party system is a sham. In western Europe, countries with 4 valid and viable political parties have 75% registered voters, those with 5 parties have 85%, those with 6 parties have 95%.

Since a 2-party system has both political parties competing for the middle of the road - going for a 50%+ majority, rather than forming a coalition government, this arrangement makes it much EASIER for "moneyed interests" to manipulate and corrupt the American political process.

Large Bullet Go to AOL's election '08 polls. Mo Rocca, a comedian on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, came up with the most brilliant idea I've heard yet in this election cycle: have Bill Clinton be Hillary's VP running mate!!!

Hillary Clinton would then be bullet proof!! She could repeatedly give photographers the finger and pose the question "Hey, John McCain, how you like me now?"

Every time Hillary Clinton gets on stage she could do a Michael Jackson moonwalk, do a Janet Jackson tit flop, and with a ukelele sing Tiptoe through the Tulips until November 4th and win the General Election big time!!
