" I don't think you have spent any time examining
the Hemp libraries that are on line now. Hemp is not for smoking. It was one of
the premier crops of the colonial era for a good reason. It was also attacked
by nylon and big oil in the 30s for a real good reason. The same reasons that
big oil destroyed the railroad industry in the 40s and bought enough congressmen
to vote in the interstate highway system instead. (I know you know the story of
how Congress was bought off in 1946).
Hemp
is like plastic was to the mid twentieth century except it is so so much more
friendly to our environment. Henry Ford's Hemp vehicle, which was made from Hemp
proved to be virtually the most impact resistant vehicle ever built. You can get
his video online. However, Hemp for fuel is the key. Growing this "weed" is not
like growing cash crops - we can grow non-psychotropic hemp along the hiways all
over the east and west coasts as well as in the midwest (where hundreds of thousands
of acres grow wild!!!)

This
plant has the greatest potential as a biomass fuel of any plant on the planet
- certainly if we required every American water and grow 10 hemp plants a year
in conjunction with state and federal landscaping and corporate farming we would
meet all of our fuel needs - in fact scientific investigation has determined we
need 6 percent of our arable land to grow hemp for all our fuel needs, not to
mention paper byproducts and non-toxic hemp plastic that biodegrades and recycles
like a charm.
Now, you can present your scientific
analysis on biomass, but if you don't investigate all of the hemp studies and
present their information in conjunction with one statistic on biomass cited from
one study then I will not really be convinced."
