Education Fund for Mexico:

Education & Economic Development for Mexico

or Continued Illegal Immigration into the U.S.?

Us progressives are fond of saying: 'Isn't it wiser to focus on paying for the education of children rather than paying later to incarcerate them after they've gone wrong after failure because of inadequate career preparation?"

Meditate for a moment regarding WHY Mexicans are willing to risk their lives to sneak across the border into the United States in order to start a new life?

Using a syllogistic argument, wouldn't it be wiser to spend American contributions and taxes on funding education in the 3 poorest provinces in Mexico?

Most illegal immigrants would stay in their home villages if the income opportunities were there.

With a better education, they'll be more equiped to develop businesses and increase income opportunities within Mexico.

Within 15-20 years, we would see a great reduction of Mexicans trying to cross the border into the U.S.

Expenses spent on preventive medicine is the most economical way to go in the long run. Expenses on helping the people of Mexico to improve their education and thus their ability to develop economically would be a boon to both Mexico AND the United States.

My suggestions for the Education Fund for Mexico: focus on

1) mathematics, language skills, accounting, finances, banking, business management,

2) construction, agriculture, engineering, computer sciences,

3) economics, medicine, public health, & political science.
